Our Flemish friends in the Vlaams Belang marked the first anniversary of the last general election in the non-country formally known as Belgium with an interesting and provocative activity in Brussels yesterday.

Since then elections of last year Belgium has not had a government, leading the Flemish patriots to declare Flemish Independence and unveil some new street signs accordingly.

The police were co-operative at first, but went on to arrest a number of people, including Filip Dewinter.

Toward the end of the last century but one, Richard Wagner made a visit to the southern Italian town of Ravello, where he was shown the gardens of the thousand-year-old Villa Rufolo. Is not this vision of loveliness your inspiration for Klingsor?" Wagner muttered something in German. "He say," said a nearby translator, "’How about that?’"

How about that indeed, I thought, as I made my way toward a corner of those fabled gardens, where ABC-TV’s Good Morning America and CBS’s Early Show had set up their cameras so that I could appear "live" to viewers back home in God’s country.

This was last May. In a week’s time "the Oklahoma City Bomber," a decorated hero of the Gulf War, one of Nature’s Eagle Scouts, Timothy McVeigh, was due to be executed by lethal injection in Terre Haute, Indiana, for being, as he himself insisted, the sole maker and detonator of a bomb that blew up a federal building in which died 168 men, women, and children. This was the greatest massacre of Americans by an American since two years earlier, when the federal government decided to take out the compound of a Seventh-Day Adventist cult near Waco, Texas. The Branch Davidians, as the cultists called themselves, were a peaceful group of men, women, and children living and praying together in anticipation of the end of the world, which started to come their way on February 28, 1993. The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, exercising its mandate to "regulate" firearms, refused all invitations from cult leader David Koresh to inspect his licensed firearms. The A.T.F. instead opted for fun. More than 100 A.T.F. agents, without proper warrants, attacked the church’s compound while, overhead, at least one A.T.F. helicopter fired at the roof of the main building. Six Branch Davidians were killed that day. Four A.T.F. agents were shot dead, by friendly fire, it was thought.

There was a standoff. Followed by a 51-day siege in which loud music was played 24 hours a day outside the compound. Then electricity was turned off. Food was denied the children. Meanwhile, the Media were briefed regularly on the evils of David Koresh. Apparently, he was making and selling crystal meth; he was also – what else in these sick times? – not a man of God but a Pedophile. The new attorney general, Janet Reno, then got tough. On April 19 she ordred the F.B.I. to finish up what the A.T.F. had begun. In defiance of the Posse Comitatus Act (a basic bulwark of our fragile liberties that forbids the use of the military against civilizans), tanks of the Texas National Guard and the army’s Joint Task Force Six attacked the compound with a gas deadly to children and not too healthy for adults while ramming holes in the building. Some Davidians escaped. Others wre shot by F.B.I. snipers. In an investigation six years later, the F.B.I. denied ever shooting off anything much more than a pyrotechnic tear-gas canister. Finally, during a six-hour assault, the building was set fire to and then bulldozed by Bradley armored vehicles. God saw to it that no F.B.I. man was hurt while more than 80 cult members were killed, of whom 27 were children. It was a great victory for Uncle Sam, as intended by the F.B.I., whose code name for the assault was Show Time.

Every time a friend adds another weapon to his arsenal, he says “I hope to God I never have to use this.” But he keeps buying them, because they may come in handy. I say the same thing every time I pick up a Harold Covington novel. But I keep reading them. They may come in handy some day.

The four novels under review, collectively called the Northwest Quartet, tell the story of the creation of a sovereign white nationalist state, the Northwest American Republic, out of the territory of the United States sometime in the second or third decade of the twenty-first century — right around the corner, historically speaking. The NAR comprises the present US states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, plus parts of Northern California, Montana, and Wyoming. These states secede from the United States through a bitter five-year guerrilla war fought by the Northwest Volunteer Army. The NVA is an armed political party. Its ideology owes much to German National Socialism, but its tactics are modeled on the Irish Republican Army and the mafia, as well as Muslim organizations like Hamas in Palestine, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the insurgents who have stymied the United States in Iraq and Afghanistan.

These novels are war stories, and frankly that makes me squeamish. I know that war is an integral part of human history; that it decides the destiny of nations, races, and the world; that it forms a large part of the data of world history and the backdrop of world literature; that one cannot write about men without writing eventually about war. I know that war is an occasion for edifying extremes of human greatness and depravity. I know that one can also derive personal inspiration and useful information from war stories. But I just don’t find representations of hatred and violence particularly enjoyable. And the better the writer, the more seductive such representations become, resulting in a kind of sadistic pornography of violence.

Covington is a very good writer, and these novels are very entertaining. Yet they are not war porn. Covington shows war as horrible. It is mostly like a camping trip that drags on way too long: boring, sleepless, nerve-wracking, dirty, and grindingly uncomfortable and inconvenient. But occasionally it is livened up by moments of exhilaration and sheer terror. It is just that he thinks the alternative to war is even worse, for peace with the present system means the oppression, degradation, and eventual extinction of our race. Beyond that, these novels are not meant to be mere entertainment. They are meant to be self-fulfilling prophecies. The author wishes to inspire the creation of a real Northwest American Republic, and his novels are filled with a great deal of sound practical advice about how to do it.

If we want a saner world, those of us who understand why white nationalism is important need to destroy white nationalism.

No, seriously: throw it on a bonfire, pour gasoline on it, and watch it burn from a distance. Destroy white nationalism before it’s too late.

White nationalism is what we call a surrogate, or a fake thing that stands in for what you need. It wastes your time and, because it claims to solve your problem, prevents you from finding the real solution.

Although this is unpopular — like everything I write for all four of you to enjoy — my viewpoint remains that we need a revitalized mainstream conservatism. Only that will solve our actual problem.

Let’s look at the logic:
White nationalism is a failure.
Doesn’t address the whole question.
Indulges in psychotic and ineffective behaviors.
Encourages a cult-like mindset.
Supplants real nationalist movements.
Misdiagnoses the problem.
Obstructs correct diagnosis and action.

We need a vital movement.
Addresses the whole question.
Diagnoses spiritual decay at core.
Encourages participation by normal healthy people.
Brings nationalism back into public discourse.
Acts honorably and competently toward its ends.

How to get there.
Destroy white nationalism.
Adopt mainstream conservatism.
Introduce paleoconservative elements.
Introduce futurist and deep ecologist elements.
Disenfranchise the disinterested.
Remove subsidies of the dysfunctional.
Subsidize the highly functional to overbreed.
Union between practical and aspiration

If you care about the issues white nationalism discusses, the last thing you should do is endorse white nationalists. There are better ways; even more, there are ways which do not outright fail as white nationalism does. You probably don’t want your hopes to fail, do you?

Now Guy Taylor has sought refuge in Britain, fearing a return to his native land would leave him facing persecution.

But despite his pleas for asylum in this country, immigration judges have dismissed his bid and he faces being deported.

The 31-year-old's case has provoked fury as it follows the decision to allow one of Robert Mugabe's former henchmen to stay in the UK indefinitely.

Phillip Machemedze was involved in 'savage acts of extreme violence', including smashing a man's jaw with pliers and then pulling out his teeth.

But last month it emerged an immigration tribunal ruled he cannot be sent back to Zimbabwe, as he fears for his human rights and could face torture.

Mr Taylor, by contrast, fears he could be deported within weeks.

He was born in Zimbabwe but his great-grandfather was Welsh and served in the Army during the First World War.

His mother's great-grandfather was born in Dublin and emigrated to South Africa at the turn of the last century.

Zimbabwe's Supreme Court heard a case on behalf of three farmers who claimed the constitution excluded confiscation of their land because they bought their properties after the colonial era ended with independence in 1980.

The Supreme Court did not agree and quickly dismissed their application.

One of the farmers, Colin Cloete, a former president of the Commercial Farmers’ Union at the height of often violent land invasions seven years ago, was one of the applicants.

He, like many of his colleagues, has been arrested, harassed and appeared in court many times, to try to stay on his farm.

Like most surviving white farmers, the cost of going to court to try to fight his eviction has been unaffordable.

Looking back over the long and difficult years, Cloete, now 58, said his struggle to remain on his farm did not make economic sense.

I stated that it appeared South Africa's TRC Fraud Liberal White Guilt One Meaning Only for Kaffir dictatorship were deliberately choosing to implement a Culture of Poverty Pimping Breeding War Friction Theory Bomb Making Road Kill Recipe for War, Murder, Rape Road Kill Stew.

In a subsequent Radical Honesty letter to Adv. Henno Viljoen; I asked him whether his decision to file a 'Kaffir' Complaint with MWeb was his own decision making or whether MI6 had psychotronically hacked into his psychological infant bicameral mind with instructions to him to file the complaint? Did he obey his 'thought instructions' from whomever had psychotronically hacked into his mind; or did he file the complaint as a result of conscious enquiry and decision-making?

I explained my evidence for Military Intelligence Agencies ability to psychotronically hack into anyone's mind; and that it was difficult to psychotronically hack into a member of the Radical Honesty culture's mind, because we do not consider our 'minds' to be who we are. So, it is difficult to psychotronically hack into my mind because I don't blindly obey the thoughts that are either subconsciously or psycholotronically generated in my mind.

I also explained the Radical Honesty perspective to 'insult to our dignity' that I had argued in Citizen v. Robert (bomb-maker) McBride; about how Mr. McBride's definition of Dignity; was that of a Psychological Infant; hence his demand for Sycophancy arse-kissing.

I furthermore explained the strange Interesting French Riddle of the Lily Pond K***r Moonwalk Belly Laugh Synchronicities, that had recently occurred surrounding the Afriforum v. Malema trial; which included Russian politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky confirming Manmade Earthquake Weapons, the possible manmade earthquakes in Knysna and Jhb; my work for former Committee of 300 Members (and their relationship to MI6); and a possible Spam Email from MI6.

I also asked Adv. Viljoen whether he suffered from Dunning and Kruger Effect Cognitive Bias, such as Primacy Effect; because it seemed he had only read the title, and had made conclusions based on the title of the Email; but had not made a full impartial enquiry of the entire contents of the email. People who suffer from the Primacy Effect, are people who draw conclusions from 'first impressions'.

I had a really good bellylaugh when I read in The Telegraph: FW de Klerk attacks Jacob Zuma for 'unacceptable' racial divisions:
Zizi Kodwa, spokesman for President Zuma, said Mr de Klerk had been misled by press headlines. He said: "Mr Zuma takes former president de Klerk very seriously but for him to just respond to headlines without checking the facts is very unfortunate."

Ouch! Zizi tells De Klerk he is so stupid he doesn't even know he is stupid (Dunning and Kruger), because he suffers from the Primacy Effect of reading headlines and drawing conclusions on first impressions.

Perhaps I am atypical, but I’ve always been hypersensitive to what’s going on around me in the real world. Among my earliest childhood memories are the gas lines that followed the 1973 Arab oil embargo; the event which probably planted the seed that sprouted into awareness of peak oil during my fifth decade on this planet. Despite being just a kid at the time, I was keenly aware that my family’s cars needed that gasoline that was being rationed, and we furthermore needed those cars to do just about everything that was important--from my dad getting to work in the morning, to me getting to school, to my mom going grocery shopping every weekend.

My heightened awareness is likely also the reason why I still have vivid memories of a headline that appeared in our local small town newspaper one day several years after those gas lines had abated. The headline read in stark simplicity: “60 to 90 Years' Supply of Oil Left,” and it really grabbed this thirteen-year-old’s attention. Being a thoughtful youth, I did a quick mental calculation and realized that if the headline was accurate it meant if I was lucky there was a chance I would not live to see the end of the oil age.

Flash forward to middle age, and while researching this article I unearthed a reference to what it was that generated that headline from so many years ago. According to a Time magazine story published in October 1978, the source of that “60 to 90 year” figure was an official report produced for the Central Intelligence Agency by Richard Nehring, a policy analyst for the Rand Corporation. The Time article, entitled “Oil: What’s Left Out There?” centered on two basic questions: “How much oil does the world have left?” and “When will it run out?”

Thank you. I have reread your initial bulky post. We don’t really do this (my consuming inbox will astound you) unless what enters are contracts we await or unless we are served by law. I must admit, I’m not quite sure what you are wanting to say. Definition discrepancies or an attack on the modus operandi of my campaign?

But I can not be radicalised by straw men set up from things I did not say.

I can not be told that I am racist when I'm NOT and have 46 years of South African living to proof it. I am an old drama school commie, extremely liberal (the first TUT black student was in my class I’m proud to say!) and I have yet to insult any South African for their skin colour per se. What I do get is non-Afrikaners prescribing to me what kind of mortality rate we should learn to accept and what kind of bullying young Afrikaner farmer-families should accept as karma for some bygone era.

I have not and will not use the K word (not even in historical or statistical correct context as I would have) & have as a reconciliatory gesture, dropped it from the song. Should courts give Malema and the ANC the green light for hate speech such as KILL THE BOER (which simply hasnt enter your thoughts, has it?), it will be open season on national insults. With or without my help. This was the point and condition of my threat. Off course, that same Monday judge Leon Halgryn deemed KILL THE BOER môre than hate speech, it “enticed murder”.

It has to be said that my “racial” definition of the K word has ample historical backing, libraries of proof of voluminous historical usage and I don’t believe you are radically honest if you think your definition is absolutely and solely, the one. As the hate speech court accepts, there are indeed different contextual uses of terminology.

I reply only because I can see you do treat the subject with serious concern. But please remember that the multicultural nation is an ideal, NOT a lot of South Africans assimilating to YOUR culture, lifestyle, values and mother tongue. That is wishful thinking.

Lastly, you must know that this is the worse time in history to prescribe to other tribes and nations on how to react to their loses, how much to mourn their dead and how high the hairs in their necks should stand up at what were are witnessing around us. I can not acclimatize to our continuous and hopeless index failure worldwide.

It is legally impossible for the Plaintiffs to provide the Defendant with a free and fair trial; in South Africa
If the Systemic Intellectual, Moral and Legal Dysfunction of the SA Legal System as it exists today, was managed by White Afrikaner males; every single Anti-Apartheid ‘Human Rights’ Organisation in Europe would be screaming their lungs off, organising protests, filing Amicus Curiae objections, etc; arguing that Mr. Dewani was incapable of receiving a free and fair trial because the SA criminal justice system is a criminal injustice system; but when the current Systemic Dysfunction is far, far worse than under Apartheid (3,000 % worse in the case of farm murders; 25000% worse in the case of deaths in Police custody, etc, etc) and under the management of the corrupt, incompetent, unprofessional, ANC; the ‘Anti-Apartheid Human Rights (sic)’ organisations conduct is that of the 3 monkeys. SA hellhole of filth and anarchy. The space between beds in SA prisons is about 30 cm, if prisoners are lucky to have a bed. Blankets, sheets and pillows are a luxury. Discipline and any complaints procedure simply does not exist. In the US Supreme Court decision, writing on behalf of the court's five-vote majority, Justice Anthony Kennedy noted that US Supreme Court’s unprecedented measure had become the only way to remedy the "serious" and "uncorrected" constitutional violations against inmates in the state's correctional facilities, particularly the sick and mentally ill.

If they find themselves offended (as some have) that I refuse to remove a person or persons whom their ideology opposes; then they have been welcome to remove themselves from my 'network' list. While many love friends who confirm their self-deceptions; I love friends who help me to confront my self-deceptions. Why I joined the Radical Honesty cult! ;-) So, now I don't care what a persons beliefs are; I do care how you hold those beliefs. What do I mean by that?

I have all the time in the world to debate with anyone who is willing to make an impartial enquiry into any issue whatsoever. I don’t discriminate against anyone for their beliefs; not even a Nazi, a commie, black power, whatever. To me it is far more important how a person holds their beliefs or ideologies; than what their ideology or beliefs are.

By how I mean; if for example their belief is sincere; based upon their actual life experience; it may be ‘extreme’ to me; simply because I have a totally different life experience. If they hold their belief sincerely, it means they are willing to listen to new inforamtion with an open mind, and to seriously consider it; and if it proves to be of a higher quality of information their prior information is founded upon, to change their conclusions.

People who BELIEVE THEY ARE RIGHT; are fundamentalists fascists. They are welcome to their beliefs they are right; but their beliefs about being right; are I have found, more about psychological insecurity complexes and their sense of identity to want to believe they are right; than about having actually made an impartial serious enquiry into their own beliefs.

So, I love sincere commies, sincere right wingers, sinsere nazi’s, sincere liberals, sincere christians, sincere muslims, etc.

I cannot stand fake fundamentalist psychologically insecre commies, right wingers, nazi’s, liberals, christians, muslims etc.

[..] I use the word belief very loosely; I don’t actually ‘believe’ any abstract theory (ideology) with 100% conviction (which is what belief generally implies to many).

My ‘beliefs’ are better described as a ‘working hypothesis’; which fits into how I hold them. My working hypothesis is based upon (a) what I have read about the matter; with what level of scientific evidence such reading material included; (b) my personal experiences; how I have applied my intellectual knowledge in the guts of the living, by testing it to see if it is true. So a kinesthetic, audio and visual learning experience.

From all that I have a working hypothesis conclusion (a temporary belief about reality about that issue), in the absence of new evidence showing some of it incorrect.

If, or when someone provides me with new intellectual or experiential information and evidence that any evidence which contributed to my working hypothesis is incorrect; then I change it; and if required change the conclusion; so that I have a new working hypothesis based on more accurate information.

It is important for me that my working hypothesis/beliefs conclusions must be founded on the best and most accurate (not most politically correct – ie earth is flat ideas of the masses) facts and evidence for me to live in the real world, based on the closest knowledge I have of reality; not on politically correct illusions.

Contrast to Beliefs which are the Foundation of Identity

Now if my beliefs/working hypothesis are not founded on intellectual and experiential evidence; but becuase I have a fragile ego, am psychologically or intellectuall insecure; I hold them not from a rational intellectual and experiential enquiry; but because they allow me to join a particular ideological tribe, whether it is the commiee/right wing/nazi/christian/islam etc tribe; so that such a person has a sense of belonging.

Their ideology is a substitute for their identity. They are not a person, who can change ideologies, with new evidence; because their identity is: I am a nazi; I am a commiee; I am a Christian, Muslim, etc.

Hence if such a person whose ideology is their identity comes across any evidence that contradicts their ideology/identity; they must shut the person up; becuase it is a direct attack on the foundation of their identity. So they must do all to avoid giving the information which contradicts their sense of identity a serious enquiry. It is too threatening to their identity/sense of self.

So then instead of addressing the actual argument of the person; they will try and smear the person with labels of ‘racist’ or ‘nazi’ or ‘commie’ or ‘insane’ and so on. Whatever they are not. The nazi will label the commiee, the commie will label the nazi.. and so they both avoid having a conversation about the actual evidence in that particular matter, so they can upgrade their beliefs about their ideology; if provided sufficient evidence. Its a form of ideological intellectual stunting.

Anything to avoid dealing with the evidence which confronts not their belief; which is a fake belief, becuase it is not a belief founded on evidence; but a belief to subsitute their psychological insecurity; hence their belief is an aspect, or the aspect of their identity.

the meaning of any word is not in the word itself, but in people’s heads
Kaffirs do exist! The biggest sin will always be: Who says it!
The use of the K-word is something that most white guilt whites still need to discuss with their psychiatrists.
The time may be right for a society that has been undergoing transition for the past 13 years to appreciate new methods of defining the meaning of words and understanding their use in blunt, intense and provocative public speech.
Once 'kaffir' is out of the closet, pseudo-liberal forces both within the white community and their black imitators demand the person apologize, and put 'kaffir' back in the closet, to hush up any use of the word lest it raise the spectre of the apartheid past that haunts us.
But the panic and hysteria that has been caused in the white social and cultural circles is a sad farce of good intentions. The conclusion that should be drawn on this matter is that it is a combination of white guilt and political correctness.
This is part of our self-redefinition and expanding the meaning of words to fit into a new socio-cultural vocabulary that will help ultimately to break with white guilt, political correctness and a deep-seated inferiority complex.

Confirmation Your Usage is Not in Accordance to Radical Honesty Definitions:

Radical Honesty definitions of ‘kaffir’ are not racial, but anyone befitting any of the Radical Honesty ‘kaffir’ definitions can be called a ‘kaffir’ irrespective of race, religion, culture. Just days since the “big announcement”, Obama administration officials have already been forced to backpedal, issuing multiple corrections, adding to the confusion over the location of the killing, whether bin Laden was armed or unarmed, whether there was a “fire fight”, if an alleged wife was involved, the burial at sea, whether to release “graphic photos”, etc. The mainstream corporate media---following approved CIA/White House narratives---is spewing and regurgitating a tidal wave of red herrings that add to the inconsistencies.

May 5, 2011, 1400 PST, SEBASTOPOL – I have personally interrogated underage criminal suspects who could lie better than White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. It has been four days since the P.T. President Obama’s account of the firefight has had zero credibility from the outset and it continues to fray and wear thin as each day passes.

That’s how effective movements for social change happen, after all. Individuals start them by making changes in their own lives; as the number of people making those changes grows, networks emerge to share information, resources, and encouragement; the networks become the frame of a subculture, and as momentum builds, the subculture becomes a movement.

President Jacob Zuma told ANC supporters not to throw away their vote, as he campaigned in Soweto ahead of the May local government elections.

Speaking in Zulu, Zuma said it was very important to vote for a party that was going to win. Any other vote would be a “silent vote”, he said.

Although in Soweto, he had a message for the Western Cape: “It (Cape Town) is so entrenched in apartheid. Die tyd het gekom (the time has come),” Zuma told hundreds of ANC supporters at the Hector Pieterson memorial.

Zuma then got the crowd to its feet by singing Awulethu’ Mshini Wami (Bring me my Machine Gun).

He was accompanied by ANC MP Winnie Madikizela-Mandela and other ANC officials.

Madikizela-Mandela earlier screamed “Viva ANC Youth League, Viva” to the crowd. She has been at ANC Youth League president Julius Malema’s side since the start of his hate speech trial.

Long after the political uprisings in the Middle East have subsided, many underlying challenges that are not now in the news will remain. Prominent among these are rapid population growth, spreading water shortages, and growing food insecurity.

In some countries grain production is now falling as aquifers – underground water-bearing rocks – are depleted. After the Arab oil-export embargo of the 1970s, the Saudis realised that since they were heavily dependent on imported grain, they were vulnerable to a grain counter-embargo. Using oil-drilling technology, they tapped into an aquifer far below the desert to produce irrigated wheat. In a matter of years, Saudi Arabia was self-sufficient in its principal food staple.

But after more than 20 years of wheat self-sufficiency, the Saudis announced in January 2008 that this aquifer was largely depleted and they would be phasing out wheat production. Between 2007 and 2010, the harvest of nearly 3m tonnes dropped by more than two-thirds. At this rate the Saudis could harvest their last wheat crop in 2012 and then be totally dependent on imported grain to feed their population of nearly 30 million.

“While serving time at George Correctional Services Prison, I was daily referred to as a ‘Boer’, such as ‘Jou AWB Boer Hoermeid’. I am not easily insulted by honesty and never insulted whenever I consider there to be more than one interpretation for any statement. If so, I always ask to make sure whether my interpretation is correct or not. I was unclear why they would call me an ‘AWB Boer HoerMeid’. In Radical Honesty, our definition of ‘freedom’ to us means the ‘freedom’ to choose to be personally responsible for our thoughts, actions and statements. Consequently the more personal responsibility we took, the greater our freedom from supervision by a policeman. In our Radical Honesty community in Virginia, we did not have keys to our homes. Cars were left outside with the keys in the ignition at all times; doors and windows wide open, even when people went on holiday. There was simply no crime, because everyone took personal responsibility for their own conduct. This to us – was the definition and concept of freedom, which was rooted in commitment by every member of our community choosing to take personal responsibility for our behaviour.
In contrast a conversation with most South Africans who admire the ANC or the ‘liberation struggle’, and particularly the ‘freedom charter’ asking them what ‘freedom’ meant to them, returned a response which essentially means ‘freedom from responsibility’. They have no responsibility to abstain from prolific breeding of unwanted children, no responsibility to save their money so they can buy their own house, or to keep a job, so they can pay for their own water bills. They want the right to ‘free water’ ‘free houses’, etc. They want the ‘right’ to breed six children, but to complain about their poverty! Personal Responsibility is absolutely non-existent in their ‘freedom charter’. Whereas Radical Honesty represents the freedom, as the conscious choice to be personally responsible; the ANC’s ‘freedom charter’ represents the total opposite: freedom represents the absence of personal responsibility. I concluded one of the subconscious reasons for their hatred of ‘Boere’ were that Boere (white settlers or Prison guards) restricted their freedom to avoid responsibility and accountability. An unrecognisable world: Global population of 9billion will compete for food supplies in 2050

The earth's population could top nine billion by 2050, leading to an 'unrecognisable' world as people compete for scarcer resources a U.S. science conference heard yesterday.

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) heard how the world's population's will increase rapidly in poorer countries resulting in the need to produce the same amount of food in a 40 year period as had been produced in the previous 8,000 years.

Population growth is expected to be highest in African and South Asian states, while incomes are also expected to rise in these countries by up to four times.

This will lead to further strain as research has shown that people earning higher wages consume more food.

Mike Campbell (79), the Zimbabwean commercial farmer who made legal history when he took President Mugabe to the international court of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Tribunal in 2007 and won the case a year later, passed away at his temporary home in Harare on April 6.

Campbell never recovered from the abduction and brutal beatings meted out to him, his wife Angela and son-in-law Ben Freeth by Zanu-PF thugs late at night in a remote militia camp on June 29, 2008 just two days after the Presidential run-off election.

Eventually their captors forced them at gunpoint to sign a paper stating that they would withdraw from the SADC Tribunal court case, due to be heard in Namibia the following month. They were dumped outside the town of Kadoma from where they were rushed to hospital.

Campbell sustained severe head injuries which resulted in brain damage, broken ribs and damage to his lower limbs caused by a crude and brutal torture method known as falanga.

This involves beating the soles of the feet with iron bars, logs or cables and can result in permanent disability or death due to kidney failure. Campbell’s medical report noted that severe force had been used and that the possibility of permanent damage was likely.

A dedicated farmer and conservationist, Campbell purchased Mount Carmel farm in the Chegutu district in 1975 and spent the next 24 years paying back the loan.

The farm was transferred legally into the family’s company name in 1999 on receipt of a “certificate of no interest” from the Mugabe government which had the first purchase option on any sale.

On Tuesday 5 April 2011 UNPO attended a press conference of Mr. Paul Kruger, chairman of the 'Afrikaner Volksraad Verkiesing Kommissie' (VVK), on the ongoing struggle of the Afrikaners to preserve their culture and gain autonomy.

UNPO has been supporting the Afrikaners in their quest for self-determination since 2008, when the Freedom Front Plus (FF+) became one of our Members. The VVK (literally: Peoples Council Elections Commission) is not affiliated to the FF+, but nevertheless UNPO was pleased to provide the VVK with a place to explain their agenda, as we believe that extra attention to the Afrikaner cause is always welcome.

The press conference started with a movie about the history of the Afrikaners, beginning at the time of the arrival of the Dutch East India Company at the Cape in 1652 and continuing to the present day. The movie gave special attention to the situation of the Afrikaners since the end of white rule in South Africa in 1994. Shocking images were displayed of murdered Afrikaners, graphically showing how the very high murder rate in South Africa hits particularly the Boers extremely hard, with the murder rate on Afrikaners more than two hundred times higher than that in Europe for example.

With the elections over and the African National Congress celebrating its victory, it is clear that, along with the people, the money has also spoken.

Estimates put the ANC’s election spending at between R200 million and R400m. No one can be sure of the actual amount, given the lack of transparency in the funding of political parties.

All political parties seem to agree that transparency is a good thing but appear to lose their appetite when it comes to disclosing their own sources of funding. It has been a case of “show me yours and I’ll show you mine”.

For as much as the ANC has been coy about the sources of its donations, so has the opposition Democratic Alliance – which flooded the Western Cape with posters and, towards the end of its campaign, laid on a helicopter for Helen Zille – been reluctant to disclose its funding sources.

So, the question remains, who will lead the way in closing this gap in South Africa’s transparency regime? Logically, it would have to be the ruling party, with its overwhelming majority in Parliament.

Multiculturalism (multiracialism) is doomed to failure - and is failing - because it is based on the lie that all people, races and cultures are equal; that no one race or culture is better (superior) than any other. I see no evidence for the view that all cultures are equal, but vast amounts against it. To believe that all cultures are equal - and ultimately in the absence of any evidence for, it is the psychology of political fanaticism with which one is dealing here - requires the same hatred and wilful refusal to confront evidence, logic and history that characterised the individuals who believed that Stalin had built paradise on earth when in fact he had exterminated millions of so-called class enemies. When you point out to these people, as I have over the years, that, as a consequence of Uncle Jo’s Final Solution of the Peasant Question, some 11,000,000 (yes 11,000,000!) peasants were slaughtered so as to break the rural way of life and to impose collectivization, all you get are despicable, cowardly evasions along the lines that such numbers are CIA propaganda. Cowardice, evasions, lying, hypocrisy and censorship of views they do not like, all typify the range of responses from what I call the Guardian-reading classes to any evidence that multiculturalism, their Neo-Marxist fantasy, is not working. Indeed it never will work, but when it starts to unravel, as Yugoslavia eventually did, we will all suffer.

Crucial to the multicultural experiment is the assertion that there is no such thing as race; that race has nothing to do with genetics or biology. Here, for example, is what Bhikhu Parekh, the editor of a very nasty anti-white tract, The Future of Multi-Ethnic Britain: Report of the Commission on the Future of Multi-Ethnic Britain (Profile Books, London, 2000), has to say on the subject of race: ‘Race, as is now widely acknowledged, is a social and political construct, not a biological or genetic fact. It cannot be used scientifically to account for the wide range of differences among peoples’ (Parekh, 2000, 63).

Several leading European politicians have now declared the multicultural project dead and impossible to implement. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has concluded that the “so-called ‘multikulti’ concept — where people would ‘live side-by-side’ happily — did not work” (BBC, 17. October 2010).

Merkel said straight out that the attempt to build a multicultural society has “utterly failed”. British prime minister David Cameron (BBC, 5 Feb 2011) and French president Nicolas Sarkozy (The Telegraph, 11 Feb 2011) quickly followed suit and declared multiculturalism a “failed” effort. Cameron added that the “UK needed a stronger national identity” and Sarkozy argued that “We have been too concerned about the identity of the person who was arriving and not enough about the identity of the country that was receiving him.”

As a psychologist who has had hundreds of immigrants as clients, my conclusion is that the multicultural society will always fail because it is contrary to the fundamental psychological principles that are needed for building healthy communities. This basic psychological principle concerns identity — national identity. As quoted above, Cameron and Sarkozy reached the same conclusion.

National identity

For a society to succeed, its citizens must be able to unite around common core values. The most fundamental values are national identity and a wish for fellowship with one’s countrymen. National identity means that you feel like a Dane if you live in Denmark. Fellowship means that similarities — first of all the fact that you live in the same country — means more than differences, for example religion, color, or country of origin.

National identity and the feeling of fellowship increase work morale, taxpaying morale, morale in relation to social services, and respect for the country’s laws in general. People who experience themselves as part of the community will feel that they harm themselves if they harm the community. National identity is also important for respect towards the nation’s authorities.

Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir arrived in SA four years ago and set up a network involving strip club owners, gold and diamond dealers, hoodlums and top cops until, that is, the body count started to rise.

O’Sullivan claims that at least five people who were murdered are linked to Krejcir and the Jackie Selebi corruption trial. He said the murders started with the death of Kevin Trytsman in 2009.

“Uwe Gemballa who was murdered in February 2010, then we had Lolly Jackson who was murdered in May 2010, then we have Chris Kouremetis who was murdered in September or October 2010 [and] then we had Cyril Beeka…” O’Sullivan said.

It is understood Gembella was involved in a deal with Krejcir and Beeka involving sports cars being used to smuggle cash into South Africa.

Trytsman was a self-styled Umkhonto we Sizwe agent who stored weapons and vehicles for the ANC in the 1980s. He was arrested in November 1990 for possession of illegal weapons and stolen vehicles and later granted amnesty by the TRC. In November 1999 his company, South African Investigation Service Group, was contracted without a tender by then deputy minister of environmental affairs and tourism Rejoice Mabudafhasi to investigate allegations of corruption in the fishing industry and earned a fee of R558000 for 31 days’ work.

It is 1999, yet it seems as if 1979 was only yesterday. For, a vast and largely unaccountable bureaucracy still wields enormous power over the destinies of our schoolchildren. Wilfully blind to the failures of “progressive” education, teachers’ training colleges and educational theorists continue to churn out the latest fads dressed in scientoid jargon. In this unholy task, they are aided and abetted by far too many teachers and lecturers in colleges of further education and universities, the majority of whom are members of the other powerful educationally-related bureaucracy, the teachers’ unions. In the longevity of these vested interests and their ability to resist change there is an eerie reminder of the Soviet communist party.

Education was a failure of the Thatcher and Major governments. To be fair, there were more pressing items on the agenda: winning the Cold War; taming the unions; privatization; and winning the Falklands and Gulf Wars. The trouble is that political victories are not the same thing as cultural victories. As Justice Robert Bork points out in Slouching Towards Gomorrah: Modern Liberalism and American Decline: ‘Even when conservative political leaders have the votes, liberal cultural leaders operate and exercise influence where votes do not count. However many political victories conservatives may produce, they cannot attack modern liberalism in its fortresses.’ Or perhaps one might say that they can, but that it is not easy. No matter, education is one such left-liberal fortress whose walls do have to be knocked down if our cultural degeneration is to be arrested and reversed.

Vladimir Bukovsky (born. 1942) is one of the initiators of the dissident movement in the USSR, a neurophysiologist, and a writer. Since adolescence he was involved in anti-Soviet activities, and, as a result, expelled from school and university. In 1963 Bukovsky was arrested, judged to be mentally incapable and kept in a psychiatrist clinic by force. During this forced “treatment” he and his friend-in-misfortune Semion Glazman published “A Manual of Psychiatry for the Dissenters” – a tool for those whom communists tried to proclaim or make mentally incapable.

When Vladimir Bukovsky became widely known in the Soviets and in the West, the Soviet power decided to expel him. In 1976, this “hooligan”, of whom the Soviet authorities had more than enough, was traded for probably the best known political prisoner in the Western world – the Chilean communist leader Luis Corvalan. Mr Bukovsky settled in Great Britain, graduated from Cambridge University, and continued fighting communism. He was amongst the organizers of the boycott of the Moscow Olympic Games in 1980.

In 1978 he published his autobiography “To Build a Castle. My life as a Dissenter”, which later was translated into many languages. After the collapse of the USSR Mr Bukovsky visited Russia. At the invitation of the new authorities, he participated in the so called “USSR case” (July- October 1992) and acted as an official court expert of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. When preparing for the process he had an opportunity to get acquainted with many top secret documents from the CK USSR, including KGB documents from the so called Russian Presidential Archive (later this archive was thoroughly cleansed by “specialists”). On the basis of those documents he compiled one of the most interesting archives to this day (http://bukovsky-archives.net), and wrote his book “The Moscow Process” Московский процесс (1995) on that very communism trial which never took place.

Most orthodox history that is crammed into the heads of our children is one long list of contradictions. There is no real background to our social development because the main underlying factors have been completely ignored. The part played
by the money system in the growth of society has been tremendous; yet how many of our historians mention it? We teach our children about the development of the British Commonwealth of Nations, although the real basis of this growth has been either neglected of distorted, while the development of that powerful, private and anti-social institution, the Bank of England, is very rarely mentioned.

If we are really desirous of preserving and developing British culture, it is essential that we attempt to gain at least an elementary knowledge of the attack which was launched against the British people at the time of Cromwell.

It is significant that the introduction of what has been termed a "spurious Whig culture," marked the origin of the present banking racket in Britain. This cultural and financial attack has been going ever since, although there is sound reason to believe that the enemy is at last being turned on both flanks However, as yet, there is no sign of a rout in the enemy's ranks. Even the London "Times," one of the chief mouthpieces of the financial oligarchy, offered the following criticism of "Whigism" in its issue of August 4, 1840:
"There is certainly in 'Whigism' an inherent propensity to tyranny; and of all the methods which tyranny ever invented for sucking out the essential vitality of free institutions, without appearing materially to touch their forms, this centralising system is the most plausible and the most pernicious. . . If it shall be fully carried out, British liberty ... will rest no longer on the possession of constitutional power by the people, but upon the sufferance of a majority of those who, for the time being, may call themselves the people's representatives."

The man who wrote the above lines, 100 years ago, had a deep insight into the principles of social organisation. Those who seek to re-write history find it a very formidable undertaking, because it has become a "vested interest" with the official historians. Any historian who refused to portray Cromwell as a saviour of the British people, pointed out that his real name was Williams, and that he belonged to a small group of men who had been enriching themselves at the expense of the Monarchy and the people, while bringing a group of foreigners from Holland to batten on the British people, would not find his books recommended for use in our schools or universities.

I decided to write this essay after a comment from a journalist, not a Leftist by my country’s standards, who dismissed Eurabia as merely a conspiracy theory, one on a par with The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. I do not disagree with the fact that conspiracy theories exist, nor that they can be dangerous. After all, the Protocols and the Dolchstosslegende, or “stab in the back myth – the idea that Germany didn’t lose WW1 but was betrayed by Socialists, intellectuals and Jews – helped pave the way for Adolf Hitler and the Nazis before WW2.

However, what puzzles me is that it is a widely-held belief of many (not just in the Islamic world but in Europe and even in the United States) that the terror attacks that brought down the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11th 2001 were really a controlled demolition staged by the American government and then blamed on Muslims. I have seen this thesis talked about many times in Western media. While it is frequently (though not always) dismissed and mocked, it is least mentioned.

In contrast, Eurabia – which asserts that the Islamicization of Europe didn’t happen merely by accident but with the active participation of European political leaders – is hardly ever referred to at all, despite the fact that it is easier to document. Does the notion of Eurabia hit too close to home? Perhaps it doesn’t fit with the anti-American disposition of many journalists? Curiously enough, even those left-leaning journalists who are otherwise critical of the European Union because of its free market elements never write about Eurabia.

Because of this, I am going to test whether the Eurabia thesis is correct, or at least plausible. I have called this project The Eurabia Code, alluding to author Dan Brown’s massive bestseller The Da Vinci Code. Brown’s fictional account “documents” a conspiracy by the Church to cover up the truth about Jesus. I’m not sure my work will become equally popular, but I’m pretty sure it’s closer to reality.

The next time Mr. Brown wants to write about massive conspiracies in Europe, he would be well-advised to set his eyes at Brussels rather than Rome. It would be a whole lot more interesting. What follows is a brief outline of the thesis put forward by writer Bat Ye’or in her book “Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis.” My information is based on her book (which should be read in full). In addition I have drawn from some of her articles and interviews. I republish the information with her blessing, but this summary is completely my own.

In an interview with Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Bat Ye’or explained how French President Charles de Gaulle, disappointed by the loss of the French colonies in Africa and the Middle East as well as with France’s waning influence in the international arena, decided in the 1960’s to create a strategic alliance with the Arab and Muslim world to compete with the dominance of the United States and the Soviet Union.

In March 2006, the two-day plenary session of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, held in Brussels approved a resolution which “condemned the offence” caused by the Danish cartoons of the prophet Muhammad as well “as the violence which their publication provoked.” These MEPs and national MPs from the EU and Arab countries also urged governments to “ensure respect for religious beliefs and to encourage the values of tolerance, freedom and multiculturalism.”

During the parliamentary assembly, Egyptian parliament speaker Ahmed Sorour insisted that the cartoons published in Denmark and other recent events showed the existence of a “cultural deficit.” Jordanian MP Hashem al-Qaisi also condemned the cartoons, claiming that it is not sufficient to deplore the cartoons as these things might occur again in another country.

And European Parliament president Josep Borrell referred to the Mediterranean as “a concentrate of all the problems facing humanity.” He said that after one year presiding over the assembly he “still did not fully understand the complexities of the Mediterranean.” Following the cartoons affair, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana had traveled to the Middle East and made joint statements with Islamic leaders that “freedom of the press entails responsibility and discretion and should respect the beliefs and tenets of all religions.” Solana said that he had discussed means to ensure that “religious symbols can be protected.” He held talks with Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi of Al Azhar University, the highest seat of learning in Sunni Islam, and Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa.

Solana also met with the leader of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. Following their discussion, Solana “expressed our sincere regret that religious feelings have been hurt”, and vowed “to reach out […] to make sure that people’s hearts and minds are not hurt again.”

Only a few years earlier, Mr. Solana, then Secretary General of NATO, in a speech stated that “the root cause of conflicts in Europe and beyond can be traced directly to the absence of democracy and openness. The absence of the pressure valve of democratic discourse can lead these societies to explode into violence.” The irony that he himself is now trying to curtail the democratic discourse in Europe through the promotion of Islamic censorship apparently did not occur to him.

THE CZECHOSLOVAKIAN GOLD EPISODE

What is now known as the famous "Czech Gold Incident" further demonstrated the power of the Bank of England and the Bank of International Settlements. It also demonstrated the fact that the British Government had no control over the actions of the Bank of England. When the Nazi machine crashed into Czechoslovakia in September 1938, it took the assets of the Czechoslovakian National Bank. Approximately £5,000,000 worth of Czech gold held by the Bank of England was transferred to Germany, with the result that, when this fact became known, there was an uproar in the British House of Commons.

The following extracts from the Sydney Morning Herald of May 24, 1939, speak for themselves:
"The Secretary for Mines, Mr. Crookshank, said in the House of Commons that the Government had no power to restrain the movement of gold held in the Bank of International Settlements on behalf of the Czechoslovakian National Bank. . . . This means that more than £5,000,000 worth of Czech gold deposited in the Bank of England for the Bank of International Settlements will be transferred to Germany. . . .

The City Editor of the 'News-Chronicle' says:
'. . . It now turns out that more than £5,000,000 was, in fact, released, although not by agreement with the Treasury, BECAUSE THIS WAS NOT REQUIRED." (My emphasis.)

Radical Honesty submissions to the Constitutional Court, in the matter of The Citizen v. Robert McBride (CCT 23-10). In directions dated, 7 March, the Justices asked all parties to make submissions on whether they should order The Citizen to apologize to McBride. More specifically:
“Should the Court find that any statement The Citizen published about Mr. McBride was actionably defamatory, would it be appropriate, in view of the findings of the High Court and the nature of the submissions before the Supreme Court of Appeal and this Court, for the Court to order The Citizen to publish an apology?”

[3] First Amicus is not a member of either the Applicant (Citizen) or Respondent (McBride) culture of intellectual fake insincere ‘forgiveness’ and ‘reconciliation’; nor its hyper-sensitivity to ‘insults’. Radical Honesty are far closer to Pema Chodron’s views of ‘insults’ – “The job of a spiritual friend is to insult you” -- as detailed in Pema Chodron: Troublemakers.

[4] In Radical Honesty we very brutally clearly define what we mean by forgiveness, and no Radical Honesty member would ever pretend to another that they have forgiven them, until they have gone through the process of reaching sensate forgiveness. Sincere forgiveness is also a process of acute personal responsibility; so that we can honestly forgive ourselves for our contribution to the misunderstanding.

[5] Nobody in the Radical Honesty community would ever force anyone to make an apology; or even recommend that such an apology be made; for we believe that the only apologies that contribute to meaningful sincere spontaneous and loving relationships are those that are totally 100% sincere, from the gut and the heart. Pretoria – Two men who killed a Brits, North West, farmer were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Pretoria High Court yesterday, despite being HIV-positive.

Judge Peter Mabuse said the fact that Thomas Chauke (30), a Mozambican, and Zondi Nkuna (31) of Soshanguve were both HIV-positive was not a compelling reason to deviate from the prescribed life sentence.

The two were last year convicted of murdering Brits farmer Brink Botha and robbing him and his wife Christelle of cellphones, R200 and their bakkie.

Both were also convicted of animal cruelty after poisoning eight of the couple’s Boerboel dogs. One died at the scene and two had to be hospitalised.

Police shot and killed a third suspect.

The two accused were part of a gang who entered the house by smashing a bedroom window. When Botha charged at them they shot him in the chest.

One of the robbers grabbed his wife, who had fled to the study, and demanded money.

She and her daughter were tied up before the robbers left. They found her husband dead in a pool of blood.

Racial identity tied to happiness, study finds

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Black people who identify more strongly with their racial identity are generally happier, according to a study led by psychology researchers at Michigan State University.

The study, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, appears in the current issue of Cultural Diversity and Ethnic Minority Psychology, a research journal published by the American Psychological Association.

“This is the first empirical study we know of that shows a relationship between racial identity and happiness,” said Stevie C.Y. Yap, doctoral candidate in psychology at MSU and lead researcher on the project.

Previous research has found a relationship between racial identity and favorable outcomes such as self-esteem, Yap said, but none has made the link with happiness.

For the study, the researchers surveyed black adults in Michigan. The results suggest the more the participants identified with being black – or the more being black was an important part of who they are – the more happy they were with life as a whole, Yap said.

The study also explored the reasons behind the connection. Yap said it may be fueled by a sense of belongingness – that is, blacks with a strong sense of racial identity may feel more connected to their racial group, which in turn makes them happy.

This sense of belongingness is especially important for happiness in women, Yap said.

My wife and I live in Philadelphia on the “green line” between mostly-prosperous Center City and mostly-wasteland North Philadelphia. People are very aware of crime around here, as you might imagine, and many people have taken numerous steps to avoid becoming victims. That being said, I am still surprised on a nearly daily basis how unprepared and unaware some people are. (I’m a Police Sergeant, so I see many people who have been caught off guard by criminals. And that’s a very important first tip: If the criminal cannot catch you off guard and unprepared, he’s most likely going to pick a different victim. But that doesn’t account for intoxicated/drugged criminals, very inexperienced criminals, and professional criminals.)

A middle-aged woman who is our neighbor lived alone in a three-story rowhouse one block away from us. At about 10:00 pm one night, she was reading in bed in her second-floor front bedroom. Suddenly, there was a strange man she had never seen before standing in the doorway of her bedroom demanding money. Scared half to death, she pointed out her purse on her dresser. He went through it, took all her money and fled out the second floor rear bedroom window through which he had entered. Responding police were unable to find the perpetrator. Crime is an ever-present threat around here, yet this long-time resident was totally caught off guard. Even more amazing to me was how easy it would’ve been for her to have prevented this whole unnerving incident. She had a burglar alarm system, but she hadn’t armed it, even though she was going to sleep in a few minutes. She also left her rear second floor window unlocked, which enabled the burglar to climb in without making any noise after using her neighbor’s rear second floor deck to access it.

Allegations of bribery, threats of violence and unconstitutional decisions by leaders about who can vote lie in the wake of the recent conference in which deputy minister of international relations Marius Fransman was chosen as African National Congress (ANC) chairperson in the Western Cape.

Two affidavits in the possession of the Mail & Guardian claim Fransman's supporters tried to bribe delegates to persuade them to vote for candidates who would support him at the regional conference or to vote for him at the provincial conference from February 11 to February 13 in Cape Town.

According to one affidavit, date-stamped February 8 by the South African Police Service, a delegate at the West Coast regional conference in Clanwilliam was asked to "make his price" for his vote.

ANC delegate and branch chairperson Johannes Snyders, who is a school janitor in Eendekuil outside Piketberg, says in his one-page affidavit that two delegates who supported Fransman offered him money for his vote.

"On Saturday, January 4 at about 18h00, I was in Clanwilliam. We were approached and told that we must say what amount of money we want in order for us to side with them."

The island of Bastøy in Norway is one of the most liberal prisons in the world. There are no walls, no bars on the windows and no regimentation of prisoners' lives. The idea is to teach them how to manage their time themselves. [Large]

Part 1: Doing Time on Norway's Island Prison

No bars. No walls. No armed guards. The prison island of Bastøy in Norway is filled with some of the country's most hardened criminals. Yet it emphasizes self-control instead of the strictly regulated regimens common in most prisons. For some inmates, it is more than they can handle.

Freedom beckons on the opposite shore, where the lights glitter at night like rhinestones. The two-mile trip by boat to the mainland takes less than 10 minutes.

The boy isn't crying, the tears underneath his eyes are tattoos. He is standing in the snow, tall and broad, not knowing where to go at first. The guards took him from his cell to the ferry, which brought him to this island -- without handcuffs. Once he was there, he was left to his own devices, surrounded by red and yellow wooden houses and a church tower poking through the treetops. And this is supposed to be a prison.

He was given vouchers for 500 kroner (€63), so that he could go shopping in the small supermarket. He encounters men along the way who greet him, but Raymond Olsen lowers his gaze. He has been in prison seven times. People don't greet each other in prison. Olsen buys tobacco and a telephone card, walks into a small red telephone booth and calls a friend -- just like that.
